While anyone may attend an APRA luncheon, members enjoy additional benefits:
- Presence on the APRA web-site, with links to members' or member organizations' homepages
- A hard-copy directory of all APRA members along with their contact information (Members' listing in the directory serves to increase their visibility and facilitate referrals)
- Access to a list of all attendees of previous and future APRA events
- Discounts for APRA-sponsored educational events
- The opportunity to serve on the APRA Speaker's Bureau as a community service and a means of increasing member visibility in the community
Still, the primary benefit of joining APRA is being a part of an organization made up of kindred spirits in the addiction and mental health fields. The work we do is difficult and demanding, and one of the ways we can take care of ourselves is to break bread with our colleagues and share stories, jokes, complaints, and victories. |
